ALL VISITORS AND PARENTS must report to the office to sign in for a school visitor pass. This is to ensure safety, provide accountability, support students, and respect learning.

For the safety and health of our students, the playground is now closed before and after school. There has been an increased number of unsupervised students on the playground at these times and the faculty and staff are not available for supervision during these hours. We ask that students leave campus immediately after school unless they are participating in a school sponsored after school event. Also, as posted on signs around campus, there is to be no riding of scooters, skateboards, hoverboards or bikes while on campus. Thank you for your cooperation.

Spring Break Message from Principal Zakahi

I wanted to make sure to send out a message "wishing all of you and enjoyable Spring Break".  All of you truly deserve an opportunity to rest, relax, and to prepare for the 4th quarter of this school year.  Our JES TEAM is all moving in a positive direction and we are united in our efforts to support our students.  I would once again like to thank each and every one of you for providing me with this opportunity to be a part of our JES TEAM!  Many exciting things are in store for us and we will experience them together.

Just wanted to wish everyone a great holiday season. I am thankful for many. many reasons, which include, but are not limited to:

  • I am thankful for the opportunity to serve you as principal of our school.
  • I am thankful for the opportunity to work with a dedicated faculty and staff who are all focused on supporting student learning.
  • I am thankful for the opportunity to be a member of our TEAM.
  • I am thankful for the many positive words and comments that you have passed on to me.
  • I am thankful for your patience and understanding as I work through my first year as a principal.

Enjoy quality time that is spent with your family and friends. Find some time to reflect/think about what you are thankful for. This is the "season of giving" and I would like to thank each and everyone of you for giving our school your 100% commitment to student learning.

Holiday Wishes from Principal Zakahi

Aloha Everyone!

The 2nd quarter is quickly coming to a close and I wanted to make sure that everyone knows that the work that you do for our school is very much appreciated, Each of you has made tremendous contributions to our TEAM and this has resulted in making a positive difference in the lives of our students. Your willingness to go up and beyond the call of duty is seen by the visitors (CAS, District personnel, KCC and UH partnerships, mentors, etc) as they come on to our schools campus. These visitors tell me that there is a sense of pride on our campus and that they see and hear people working together. When visitors tell me these kinds of things . . it warms my heart and validates my belief that Jefferson is the school that I would like to remain at for a long, long, long period of time. I am hoping that your holiday wishes come true . . because my wishes have already come true. My wish was to be a part of a TEAM that is centered on working together to do what is right for students.

Happy Holidays to you and your family!
