Last night was a heartwarming event . . . to see all of the adults and students fill our cafeteria . . . that was awesome! I am reminded of the movie "field of dreams". The main character is told by a retired baseball player that"if you build it, they will come". These words resonate with me, mainly because we have started to build something here . . we are building the culture of our school. Parents are seeing is and our community is seeing it . . and that is why we can continue to expect people to come out and celebrate our students.
The Water Cooler Challenge was set by Principal Zakahi to challenge the students to get over 1000 TeRRiFiCC cards over the 2nd quarter. The challenge was completed and Principal Zakahi had to dunk himself in a cooler of ice water!
On Friday - November 14th I took on a Principal Challenge to read to students from our rooftops.
