Dear Parents and Guardians:
This letter is to inform you about an incident that occurred on campus this morning, March 14, shortly after 7 a.m.
BINGO Night was a HUGE success thanks to the focus efforts of our JES TEAM! At a glance, this may seem like an easy task, but when reflecting on the event . . it is an event that required the coordinated efforts of many, many TEAM members. Here are a few of the responsibilities that our TEAM had to take on: reserving the cafeteria, order and confirming delivery of food, cutting the PO to the vendors, ensuring Title I compliance and documentation, updating SCC and TEAM members via meetings and/or emails, purchasing of BINGO prizes, setting up the agenda, contacting and confirming our "special guest", setting up the screen, projector, and microphone, cooking of food, prep/packaging of food and water, calling out numbers, utilizing the internet so that audience could see numbers as they were being called, checking of BINGO cards to ensure that requirements of the game are being met, serving as Vanna White and walking around the cafeteria to show the audience what the BINGO game required, passing out of prizes, setting up and cleaning up the cafeteria, . . some of us even managed to play a BINGO game or two. Some of us actually won prizes.
A fun time was had by all . . and this was in large part due to the coordinated efforts of our JES TEAM! Our guest speaker (Dr. Hester, Mufi Hanneman, and Amira) all had positive things to say about our BINGO night. They realized that it took a lot of work (behind the scenes) to put on this event. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
